1) Zoom shot

2) Steed is handsome, powerful and has gentlemen-like qualities.

3) Steed is representative of all of the living ex-soldiers of the war and he is also a war-hero himself. He helps us to evoke emotions of nostalgia as we remember the horrors of war. The emotion of sadness is intensified as he looks at all of the names on the floor of people that died in the war. Lastly, Steed does the salute as if he were still in the war which reminds us of those times and it is a sign of respect to the dead soldiers. There is a melancholy tone because so many died in the war.

4) Emma Peel is depicted as a modern young woman because : she lives on her own which is astereotypical of the time. She travels a lot which is very modern because in those days travelling was rare for women, it was for business men or families. Additionally, she is very calm when a gun is pointed at here whereas most women of that era would be hysterical (even women now would be shocked and scared by being held at gunpoint) so that is more evidence that she is a modern young woman.

5) The shot is an extreme close up which allows audiences to deduce that Emma Peel is in fact still here because her luggage labelled with her initials 'E.P.' are not gone.

6) Social and cultural stereotypes are inverted in this scene because Emma is the one in charge because not only is she physically standing above Steed but she is teaching him and commanding orders to him. It is as if Emma is the scary teacher and Steed is the little student.

7) We firstly learn that Emma is easily persuaded. Secondly we figure that Peel lives on her own, as there is nobody else in the flat. Thirdly, we conclude that Emma can fence very well as she has a fight with Steed and holds her ground.

8) In the scene, we hear diajetic sound of Ryan wading through the sand and the Chief Constable speaking and the Stag Doo shouting and arguing with Ryan and then physically fighting him. The sound is non-diajetic over the scene because music has been added afterwards and the punch at Ryan's face is also added after it was filmed. The meaning of the diajetic sound is to make it more realistic and for us to understand what is going on. The meaning of the non-diajetic sound is to build tension with the fast music and the punch was added afterwards because of course it cannot be a real punch because that would hurt Ryan.

9) The Chief Constable (Jake's dad)

10) Jake. The queue jumper's relationship with the chief constable is that Jake is his son.

11) Ryan is in a high position of power and has more vigour and capacity over Jake. Ryan is black which is different to Cuffs where everyone is black- it is more modern. Jake is gay which is also very modern and you wouldn't find an openly gay person in Cuffs.
