- Lighting contrast, dark and smoking inside
- lots of alcohol, potential violence
- terraced houses, England flag outside
- cross cut scenes , Jake has a shocked face due to the chaos/fighting around him
- non diajetic sound is louder than diajetic sound when Jake is overwhelmed its all he can hear
- tension builds because he has to locate Ryan and the dog is barking and they are in the back streets and you can hear the thwacking and Jake carries on
